Setting out to briefly summarize Richard Filz´s biography is an impossible thing to do. All the projects this successful Austrian has already initiated, set into motion, experienced, produced and performed as a drummer, vocal percussionist, teacher and author would fill many pages. Therefore, here is Richard Filz “in a nutshell”:
- studies at Konservatorium Wien University
- more than 80 CD production
- author of 15 instructional books
- author of articles published in drum magazines and music pedagogy journals
- leader and initiator of the ensembles “Die Dorftrommler”, “Rhythm Xing” and “Richard Filz & Acoustic Instinct”
- lectureship at Landeskonservatorium Eisenstadt (Austria) and at the Universities of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Graz and Salzburg
- international lecturing activities
