Born in Malaga / Spain, Jorge Palomo grew up in a very musical family and fell under the spell of music when he was only a little boy. His older brother taught him to play flamenco guitar, but also Cuban and Brazilian music aroused Jorge´s interest.
As an autodidact, he started to develop his musical potential on cajon, congas, bongos, timbales and the drumset. Shortly afterwards, he became a student at Freddy Santiago´s music school in Frankfurt.
In 1996, he decided to return to Malaga to study at the Fuengirola music school. Later on, he became a member of various bands performing in the most diverse genres on different continents. In July 2006 he came back to live in his adopted country, Germany, where he has been stirring up the percussion scene ever since.
Percussionist and drummer
Good sound, quality and perfection, beautiful design.
I have opted for Schlagwerk because I have been playing Schlagwerk cajons for about 20 years. I have checked out cajons produced by other manufacturers, but I have ultimately decided on Schlagwerk instruments.
My favourite instruments are the Cajons, the Booster Set, and the new Yambú Drums. I often combine the cajn with the Yambú Drums and the Booster Set.
Flamenco, Latin jazz, Cuban music, Brazilian music, etc.
