While studying geography, botany and zoology in Münster, Markus Paßlick got a first insight into the theater world and toured as a percussionist with various pop and jazz bands. After getting into touch with radio and television, he did not only put his stamp on the TV programme “Harald Schmid Show” as a stand-up writer; making numerous successful guest appearances, Markus Paßlick regularly gave the audience a taste of his expertise as a zoologist, ecologist and amateur cook.
At present, Markus is working as an author for the comedian Cordula Straatman, the TV programme “Zimmer frei” and the satirical magazine “Pardon”. His main field of activity, however, is music. Since 1998, he has been an indispensable member of the Götz Alsmann Band. Artists like Gloria Gaynor, Roger Chapman, Monserrat Caballé and Die Fantastischen Vier have already had the pleasure of performing together with this excellent band on TV.
At the same time, the band gives about 100 concerts a year throughout Germany.
As a studio musician, Markus Paßlick has been booked by Reinhard Mey, Dr. Ring Ring and others. Since 1999, he has worked together with the “best band worldwide” – “Die Ärzte” – on a regular basis. The CD and DVD “Die Ärzte unplugged – Rock´n´Roll Realschule” even went platin.
