Percussionist, cajonist, author, teacher, head teacher of an elementary school with a musical-cultural profile, member of the state conference “Music” and chairman of the moderator group “Music Primary School” (Saarland) as well as chairman of the curriculum commission “Music Primary School” in Saarland, Lecturer for “Rhythm and Drumming” at the VHS Neunkirchen, lecturer at the “Bildungscampus Saarland” in the field of rhythm pedagogy and within the training program “Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP)" at the State Academy for Musical-Cultural Education in the field of rhythm pedagogy.

History:

At the tender age of four, Tobias Klee fell in love with a tin drum during a visit to a funfair and less than two years later, he received his first lesson in early rhythmic-musical education. Of course, the obligatory school band was just as much a part of his musical apprenticeship as attending workshops and intensive courses with well-known drummers and percussionists and forming various bands. His work as a drummer in musicals, excursions into the hip-hop charts including a nationwide tour and the various rock, pop, jazz, flamenco and acoustic formations, in which he also flexibly took on both roles - drummer and percussionist - sharpened his musical profile. During this time, he also discovered how to pass on his experience on the subject of “rhythm” as a drum teacher - in Saarland and in a drum school in Rheinland Pfalz. Studying classical music as a teacher did not stop him from continuing with music. Quite the opposite: he creatively and harmoniously combines his life as a teacher with the rhythmic influences that drive him. He is now a member of the state conference “Music in Primary Schools” and chairman of the curriculum commission “Music in Primary Schools” (Saarland) as well as head of the moderator group “Music in Primary Schools” (Saarland). He also works as a percussion teacher for children, young people and adults, is a lecturer in rhythm pedagogy for the Bildungscampus Saarland and offers rhythm and drum training courses at the VHS Neunkirchen. The teaching of creative, rhythmic building blocks is close to his heart, both at his school and within the “EMP” (Elementary Music Pedagogy) training program at the State Academy for Musical and Cultural Education. As an enthusiastic drummer, he can be heard in various musical projects both “live” and in the studio.

Tobias Klee has published two books („Rhythm in a Box“, BVK-Verlag and „Bumm!, Klack!, Tsch! -Rhythmus kreativ“, Verlag an der Ruhr) and a guest article („Rhythmus!“, Conbrio-Verlag). He also writes articles for educational journals (e.g. „Entdeckungskiste“, Herder-Verlag).
