Frederic Marquardt

Frederic studied classical percussion and played in various ensembles and orchestras. At the same time, he started teaching at music schools. His specialty is to dissolve the boundaries between classical and popular music, as well as the boundaries between electronic and acoustic instruments, in order to create something outside these categories. In recent years, alongside his work as a percussion teacher and his jobs as a drummer/percussionist, he has been intensively involved with the fusion of electronic and acoustic instruments. This includes an understanding of electronic sound production, which brings with it almost infinite possibilities, as well as experience in a wide variety of genres in order to unite these with the world of percussion. This results in his current solo program, which ranges from modern classical music to electronic dance music and combines traditional percussion instruments with synthesizers, effects and sound tracks.
