At 13 he was drumming at Stefan Raab in the TV Total show. Today he tours the world and plays percussion for stars like Nico Santos, Alvaro Soler, and Sarah Connor. He knows what defines good sound. In 2016 he received the Ruth World Music Prize with the Royal Street Orchestra and in 2018 he received the German Jazz Award for his work with the band Cairo Steps.

The La Perù EVO Burl is made of solid, stained alder in the body, beech back and design veneer playing surface. The playing surface is semi-glued and screwed together for the typical La Perù bass. The Bendir is an especially popular Frame Drum used in oriental music. The construction of the frame is similar to the Def, but a grip hole in the kettle and snare strings attached to the skin inside the drum make all the difference. The typical Bendir snare effect is created by the four strings.
