He is a pioneer, innovator and master of frame drums. As an artist, he creates his world of sound with influences from different drumming traditions. On his concert tours around the world, he always has musical encounters and collaborations with artists from different cultures. The internationally sought-after lecturer is head of the world percussion department at the Popakademie in Mannheim, he published the world's first frame drum teaching DVD and developed his own teaching methods. His style is characterized by sensitive finger playing and refined rhythms, always in search of innovation in playing and sound. Murat Coskun, who has received numerous awards, is the founder and artistic director of the frame drum festival Tamburi Mundi, the world's largest platform for the presentation of the frame drum.
