About Jacob

I graduated from Berklee College of Music where I studied world percussion with Jamie Haddad and got to study tabla with Ustad Zakir Hussain at Omega Institute. I’m more of a world percussionist these days but still love to play kit. I’m a jazz fusion/funk drummer and play various world percussion instruments. My specialty has varied from udu drums, ocean drums, tabla, cajon, and most recently handpans for about a decade now! I teach drum kit and I teach Handpan/world percussion lessons online. I have always admired Schlagwerk percussion instruments. Some of my highlights have been playing at Peach Music Festival with my band Rogue Chimp in front of thousands of people, being asked to teach handpan lessons on the 2 biggest handpan lesson platforms, and being endorsed by Schlagwerk.
